The First Year

The First Year

This year taught me more than I ever expected. Not just about business, but about patience, resilience, and trusting myself when the answers were not immediately clear. There were moments that stretched me in uncomfortable ways and moments that reminded me why I started in the first place. Looking back, I can honestly say this was a year of growth, even when it did not always feel like it in real time.

One of the biggest lessons I learned is that progress does not always look loud. Sometimes it looks like quiet consistency. Showing up when no one is watching. Making decisions without immediate validation. Learning to sit with uncertainty while still moving forward. I learned that not every win comes with applause, and that is okay.

Another lesson was understanding the value of alignment. There were opportunities that looked good on paper but did not feel right in my spirit. This year taught me to listen to that inner voice more closely. When things are aligned, they flow differently. When they are not, no amount of effort can force peace into the process.

The wins this year were meaningful, even if they were not always flashy.  Having customers share how the brand impacted them in real moments. Building relationships that were rooted in trust rather than transactions. Those moments reminded me that impact matters just as much as scale.

I also learned that rest is not a reward. It is a requirement. Burnout does not produce better results, and pushing through exhaustion only delays clarity. Giving myself permission to slow down at times allowed me to make better decisions and show up more fully when it mattered.

As I close out the year, I am proud of what was built and even prouder of how it was built. With intention. With honesty. With a willingness to learn along the way. The wins were real, the lessons were earned, and both are shaping what comes next.
